Some time after being left to your own devices in the gallery, with little success finding anything, Starling returns. She is holding a sturdy iron key, that glows slightly.
“I think,” she says, “that much of the Baroness’s personal items are in her private cottage in town. It is securely locked, but I have permission to use it as needed. There is a library in the second room which may have more to help you.” She hands you the key, which is far too heavy for its size.
“The horse has been fed and watered, and is ready for you to ride to town whenever you are ready. You are, of course, welcome to stay as I offered. Or it is merely a day’s ride back to the guildhouse in Waterdeep, along the southern road.”
